Amanda is a native of Gallatin where she grew up and currently resides. She graduated from the University of TN at Knoxville, with a bachelor’s degree in Speech Pathology, and a minor in Psychology. After graduating college, Amanda began working for the State of TN, Department of Human Services where she dedicated over 19 years of service with the Child and Adult Care Licensing division. She began as a Child Care Program Evaluator assisting agencies in Sumner County to obtain licensure. She also monitored those licensed agencies for health and safety compliance in accordance with Tennessee Rules and Regulations. Amanda later obtained the role as Licensing Supervisor where she was responsible for mentoring Program Evaluators as well as issuing childcare licenses for agencies in Sumner and Davidson Counties. Adhering to the State of TN childcare licensing standards is extremely important to Amanda as she strives to create an agency that is safe, inviting and of the highest quality.
Amanda enjoys attending church, watching her teenage son’s baseball games, cheering for her alma mater, TN Vols, spending time with family, her fiancé, and 3-year-old Goldendoodle, Knox.
