Amanda Hunter, Director of Keystone Childcare Center

Amanda is a native of Gallatin where she grew up and currently resides.  She graduated from the University of TN at Knoxville, with a bachelor’s degree in Speech Pathology, and a minor in Psychology.  After graduating college, Amanda began working for the State of TN, Department of Human Services where she dedicated over 19 years of service with the Child and Adult Care Licensing division.  She began as a Child Care Program Evaluator assisting agencies in Sumner County to obtain licensure.  She also monitored those licensed agencies for health and safety compliance in accordance with Tennessee Rules and Regulations.  Amanda later obtained the role as Licensing Supervisor where she was responsible for mentoring Program Evaluators as well as issuing childcare licenses for agencies in Sumner and Davidson Counties.  Adhering to the State of TN childcare licensing standards is extremely important to Amanda as she strives to create an agency that is safe, inviting and of the highest quality.

Amanda enjoys attending church, watching her teenage son’s baseball games, cheering for her alma mater, TN Vols, spending time with family, her fiancé, and 3-year-old Goldendoodle, Knox.

People Say About Us

In Praise of Amanda

My name is Brenda Stinson. I have a licensed home child care in Hendersonville, TN. I have been in business for 33 years. For about 15 years Amanda Hunter has been my licensing counselor. In all those years Amanda has been a consummate professional while being a guiding hand to help me better my child care, for the benefit of the children and myself! I would highly recommend Amanda for any purpose or roll she aspires to. She would, in my opinion be a great asset to any company.

Food Allergy Awareness - As an allergy-sensitive and nut-free facility, we will work with parents to ensure their children’s dietary needs are met.  Our menu will be carefully planned using quality ingredients.
At Keystone infants are loved, encouraged, and cared for. Our infant educators are fully trained in all aspects of infant development, health, and safety. Toys and Nursery equipment will be cleaned often and well. You can have confidence that your baby will be in a safe and loving environment every day spent with us.
Here at Keystone we feel that children learn best when they are in an inviting, exciting, safe, stimulating environment surrounded by love and joy. Each child is encouraged to learn at their own pace both individually and in groups.
All staff are extensively screened, have clear background checks, are CPR certified, first-aid trained, and undergo an extensive training program.
At Keystone, we employ security measures that are deliberately overlapped.  Passcodes are required for entrance. Each parent or guardian is given a unique passcode. All classrooms are continuously monitored and recorded utilizing our in-house video security system. All exterior doors have alarms.
In an effort to promote additional quality time after work and school for our families, Keystone will offer a variety of on-site enrichment activities such as gymnastics, music, foreign language, soccer, etc.  These activities will be led by independent instructors who will use our facility during regular school hours and will be available at a nominal monthly charge.
