About Keystone Childcare

Keystone provides a safe and nurturing environment where children thrive.

At Keystone, we aim to set the New Standard in Learning and Child Care

We are privately owned and our goal is a simple one….treat every child as if they were our own. We do this by raising the bar for excellence in everything we do. We offer exceptional care while ensuring a strong curriculum throughout every step of your child’s journey. Each child begins in an atmosphere of support, encouragement, and direction while learning how to become a well-adjusted, responsible, joyful individual who can serve as a role-model for their peers. Our core non-denominational Christian values and emphasis on Character Development, accompanied by our dedicated and nurturing teaching staff, differentiates our center from the competition.

"Start children off on the way they should go, and even when they are old they will not turn from it."
- Proverbs 22:6

Executive Director, Amanda Hunter

Amanda is a native of Gallatin where she grew up and currently resides.  She graduated from the University of TN at Knoxville, with a bachelor’s degree in Speech Pathology, and a minor in Psychology.  After graduating college, Amanda began working for the State of TN, Department of Human Services where she dedicated over 19 years of service with the Child and Adult Care Licensing division.  She began as a Child Care Program Evaluator assisting agencies in Sumner County to obtain licensure.  She also monitored those licensed agencies for health and safety compliance in accordance with Tennessee Rules and Regulations.  Amanda later obtained the role as Licensing Supervisor where she was responsible for mentoring Program Evaluators as well as issuing childcare licenses for agencies in Sumner and Davidson Counties.  Adhering to the State of TN childcare licensing standards is extremely important to Amanda as she strives to create an agency that is safe, inviting and of the highest quality.

Amanda enjoys attending church, watching her teenage son’s baseball games, cheering for her alma mater, TN Vols, spending time with family, her fiancé, and 3-year-old Goldendoodle, Knox.

Our Staff

At Keystone all staff must demonstrate great passion for teaching and inspiring children.  We will be loving, friendly, and well-trained professionals that offer excellent care to the children entrusted to us.  Our staff members will go through extensive background checks, CPR/First Aid training, and ongoing professional development.

In Praise of Amanda

My name is Brenda Stinson. I have a licensed home child care in Hendersonville, TN. I have been in business for 33 years. For about 15 years Amanda Hunter has been my licensing counselor. In all those years Amanda has been a consummate professional while being a guiding hand to help me better my child care, for the benefit of the children and myself! I would highly recommend Amanda for any purpose or roll she aspires to. She would, in my opinion be a great asset to any company.
